Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity
The Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity is responsible for the campus’s compliance with federal and state laws and university policies and procedures regarding discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment. OEOD works to promote and integrate the principles of equal opportunity, affirmative action, nondiscrimination and excellence through diversity using sexual harassment prevention and diversity trainings, complaint resolution, consultation on EEO/AA and diversity-related issues, as well as collaborations with other departments and organizations.

Center for Educational Partnerships
UCI’s Center for Educational Partnerships creates collaborations that support preparation for and success in higher education. Its focus is on equity and access for all students in order to achieve the University of California’s goal of academic excellence.

UCI ADVANCE Program
The UCI ADVANCE Program carries out the campus’s commitment to gender equity and diversity among faculty through a team of equity advisors who monitor recruitment activities, coordinate advising for career advancement, and counsel faculty regarding equity, including salary. Partnership for Adaptation, Implementation & Dissemination
PAID is a National Science Foundation-funded program that assists senior administrators, deans and chairs in advancing gender equity and diversity among faculty. Supported by a three-year grant and operated in partnership with UCLA, UC Riverside, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara, the program features a leadership component – Leading through Diversity – which runs through January 2010.

Vendor Diversity
UCI’s Small Business Program helps departments establish and maintain access to equal opportunity for the purchase of goods and services in accordance with university policy. The Small Business Coordinator participates in outreach activities that strengthen the university’s relationship with the small business community.
