About this expert

Dr. Steve Cramer, associate professor of neurology and co-director of the clinical stroke program at UCI Medical Center, is conducting studies on new drug treatments that can limit the amount of brain tissue damage caused by stroke. By doing this, Cramer believes the brain’s own repair mechanisms can be more effective and lead to greater recovery for stroke patients. More: www.ucihs.uci.edu/stroke/
