Using the Logo

Colors

Use the full-color logo when possible. A one-color logo is appropriate in print applications when limited by cost or when imprinting existing collateral materials. In this case, the logo should be printed in all blue (Pantone 289) or in black.

Resizing

Be sure to resize the logo proportionally so it is not distorted. In most applications this can be done by holding the shift key while resizing.

Minimum Size

The 50th anniversary logo should not be reproduced smaller than 1 inch in height. At smaller sizes detail and graphic integrity will be lost. If your application requires reproduction at a smaller size than 1 inch, please contact the Graphic Services office for guidance.

Downloadable Logos

JPG: 4-color | 1-color | Black
PNG: 4-color | 1-color | Black
EPS : 4-color | 1-color | Black
TIF: 4-color | 1-color | Black

Use the links above to choose the appropriate version (format and color model) of the logo for your application. If you expect to use the logo at several different sizes, or at a very large size, consider downloading an eps file, which can be infinitely resized with no loss of quality (vector-editing program, e.g., Adobe Illustrator, required.) Enlarging jpg or png files WILL result in loss of quality. Also keep in mind that converting from one color model to another (i.e., RGB to CMYK) may cause color shifts. Avoid the need to convert the colors by using the appropriate file per these guidelines:

  • RGB jpg or png files are useful for Web graphics, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, PDFs, etc.
  • CMYK jpg, eps or tif files are useful for printed material to be output on a professional 4-color press.

To download, right click the desired link and choose “Save Target As …” or “Save Link As ….” If you cannot find a format to suit your application, contact the Graphic Services office for assistance.
