Policy on Campus Sign Standards

All signage on the UCI campus (including wayfinding, traffic and information signs) is subject to graphic format and design standards maintained by the Office of Environmental Planning & Sustainability. Prior to installation, the location and design of all proposed signage shall be submitted to the Office of Environmental Planning & Sustainability for review. In addition, identity signage (i.e., entry monuments, building/school identification signs, etc.) shall be subject to approval by the chancellor.

The design of identity signage at UCI may contain elements unique to individual locations or organizational units, but should include common characteristics (e.g., “Architectural” font style, use of campus seal, materials and/or colors) in order to maintain consistency across the campus.
