Graduate researcher Jeff Carroll of UC Irvine's Center for Hearing Research says that loud toys improperly used can cause hearing damage in children.

Carroll is a graduate researcher in biomedical engineering and otolaryngology who studies hearing disorders and methods to improve cochlear implants. He is part of UC Irvine's Center for Hearing Research.
