First Anteater in Space
In August 2007, Peter became the first anteater in space, hitching a ride with NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Caldwell joined the astronaut corps in 1998, while doing postdoctoral atmospheric chemistry research at AirUCI. She offered AirUCI scientists a chance to let their mini ‘eater make aeronautic history.
