Annual Report on Executive Compensation (AREC)
As part of its commitment to transparency and public accountability, the UC reports annually on compensation paid to senior managers to the State Legislature and to the public. This report details all aspects of senior management compensation, and it is also posted on UC websites to provide public access to the information.
The reportable population for the Annual Report on Executive Compensation includes:

Employees in a Named Position (according to direction from State Legislators) regardless of total potential compensation.
- Officers of the Regents regardless of total potential compensation.
- Employees in a Senior Management Group (SMG) position regardless of total potential compensation.
- Employees in one of the named positions or SMG positions, but in an
acting or interim capacity, if the appointment is active on December 31regardless
of total compensation.
- Employees in administrative/staff MSP positions with actual total cash compensation over $250,000 (excluding all Staff Physicians).
- Other Specified Employees which includes the Coaches and Athletic
Directors whose actual total cash compensation (actual base salary received, actual stipend, actual
bonus/incentive, etc.) exceeds the reporting threshold, currently
$250,000.
