UC Irvine researchers are internationally known for their research on age-related neurodegenerative diseases that affect learning and memory. Much of this work takes place at the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND), where breakthrough studies on brain aging and the impact of neurological disorders are pointing the way to new and improved treatments for Alzheimer’s and other related disorders. Coupled with this are advanced clinical diagnosis and treatment for those suffering from age-related memory problems, along with help for families and caregivers.
