Important Housing Updates for November 17th

Dear Housing Residents,

Three brief reminders for you today:

1. Thank you to the 600+ of you who have submitted your Thanksgiving plans in the Student Affairs survey. If you have not yet responded, REGISTER YOUR PLANS HERE by Tuesday 11/24/20: http://cglink.me/s39479.
   • Please consider the two best options for minimizing your Covid risk heading into Thanksgiving week: (1) remain on campus OR (2) go home and stay home through winter break.
   • Whatever your decide to do, check out Top 5 Tips for a Covid-safe Thanksgiving
2. Orange County has moved back into the Purple Tier of Covid restrictions. What does this mean for the UCI Campus?
   • In-person gatherings – including lectures, student programming and events – will be prohibited.
   • The ARC will remain open for outdoor activities but indoor offerings will not be available.
   • Study spaces in the Student Center and the libraries are now closed. Please consider using the outdoor study tents at Langson Library Plaza and Humanities Hall Plaza.
   • Find additional information in a ZotMail sent this morning by Hal Stern, Ph.D. - Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor (interim).
3. The California Department of Public Health has issued a Travel Advisory that discourages all “Non-essential travel”  and prescribes a14-day self-quarantine for individuals traveling (or returning) to California from other states or countries.
