Housing Updates for April 16th

Greetings Housing Residents!

Thank you for continuing to check in with these weekly updates. Just a couple of quick reminders this week:

• The Vista del Campus site for asymptomatic COVID testing will be closed as of Monday April 26th. Please login to the Student Health Portal: https://osh.chs.uci.edu to change your weekly testing appointments to one of the other sites.
• The key to moving toward the end of Covid restrictions and protecting the health of our community is getting vaccinated!  All California residents who are 16 and older are now eligible to receive the Covid vaccine. For details on how to schedule your vaccine appointment and upload your vaccination record to the Student Health Patient Portal, review Vice Chancellor Willie Bank’s April 14th email, and visit the websites listed below. The FRESH Basic Needs Hub is providing transportation support for students who face financial barriers accessing a vaccine site.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) provides useful information for people who have been fully vaccinated at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html. Keep in mind, however, that campus policies take precedence over federal guidelines.

Whether you are vaccinated or waiting for your shot(s), you are still expected to practice prevention measures.  If you have questions about COVID-related matters on campus, visit the UCI Forward Coronavirus Information Hub.
