UCOP ANNOUNCES 2022 COVID-19 EMERGENCY PAID SICK LEAVE PROGRAM

Dear colleagues:

We are pleased to share with you that the Office of the President announced a 2022 COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave program. The program is effective from February 19, 2022, through September 30, 2022, although the hours can be used retroactively to January 1, 2022 for qualifying events.

The program provides up to 80 hours of 2022 Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL) for full-time employees and a pro-rated amount for part-time employees. Additionally, employees who did not utilize the entirety of the 80 hours of available EPSL in 2021 may use any remaining 2021 hours through September 30, 2022.
