ICWT marks 20th anniversary

Over the past two decades, UCI’s International Center for Writing and Translation has brought Nobel Laureates to speak on campus, launched a podcast showcasing literary works in their original languages and honored translation with performances of Shakespeare’s sonnets in Maori. A hybrid event will be held on Thursday, March 3, to celebrate the center’s past and future.

Taking the initiative on mind-body wellness

The UCI Wellbeing Initiative, which was developed at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute shortly after the pandemic struck, has provided support services to nearly 7,000 faculty and staff members so far. Focusing on acupressure, nutrition, mindfulness and meditation, massage, yoga, stress management and good sleep strategies, the initiative has been so successful that it’s been expanded to all 10 UC campuses.
