2022 in review: gifts and grants
The Anteater work ethic is widely recognized, earning the campus a number of gifts and grants to support its priorities. This was UCI’s second-highest year for fundraising, with more than $223 million collected. The Brilliant Future campaign, which supports scholarships, research, educational facilities and other initiatives, now tops $1.3 billion from over 86,000 donors.
Healthy celebrations recipes
Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute Executive Chef Jessica VanRoo created some healthy recipes to celebrate a special occasion. These delicious dishes can make every day a celebration in a tasty, healthy way.

New UC policy on abusive conduct in workplace
After several years of effort, including extensive systemwide discussion review, a new Presidential Policy on Abusive Conduct in the Workplace will become effective Jan. 1. This policy applies equally to faculty, staff and student employees.
UAW strike update
The University of California and the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement regarding the graduate student researchers and academic student employees contracts. Union members are expected to vote on the tentative agreements in the coming days. FAQs and updates are available on the provost's continuity webpage. CVS, Walgreens limit purchases of children’s pain-relief medicine
As a result of increased demand, CVS is restricting both in-person and online purchases to two children’s pain relief products. Walgreens has limited online purchases to six over-the-counter fever reducers per transaction, but it does not have an in-store purchase limit.

By coming to campus each day, students and employees are attesting they are free of COVID-19 symptoms and are not COVID-19 positive. If you currently have symptoms of COVID-19 or recently tested positive, do not come to campus, or if you currently live on campus stay in your residence, and follow instructions for reporting your case or assessing symptoms on the UCI Forward page. Close contacts to a COVID-19 case are not required to stay home or quarantine, but should follow guidance for close contact instructions for masking and testing on the UCI Forward page.
Potential workplace exposure
UCI provides this notification of a potential workplace COVID-19 exposure. Employees and subcontractors who were in these locations on the dates listed may have been exposed to the coronavirus. You may be entitled to various benefits under applicable federal and state laws and University-specific policies and agreements. The full notification is available on the UCI Forward site. If you have been identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 case, the UCI Contact Tracing Program will contact you and provide additional direction.
